Photojournalism

With my Dad being a photographer, photojournalism was always somewhat destined for my future. I found very often the question adults always asked me was “So when are you going to take over and start taking your own photos?” Photojournalism has been a great outlet for me to make new friends, have new experiences and even get into the whole world of photography for a possible future in my life. Displayed on the left is my first ever camera, which was gifted to me on Christmas in 2008, where my first instinct was to pull out the camera and start taking some pictures.

Boys Swim Meet Senior Night (Seniors Wore Tattoo Sleeves)

Unified Basketball’s Annual “Pack the Gym Night.” Always one of my favorite shoots every year.

Boys Basketball Game Against Rival Emerald Ridge

My Executive Producer my junior year Lola Woodburn won Journalist of the Year last year for Washington and I had the privilege of shooting this.

Various school spirit moments throughout different events I’ve shot during my time at PHS

Golf was one of my most unexpected enjoyable photo shoots. The players were so kind and really had a welcoming atmosphere.

This football photo chalks up as one of my favorites of all time. I started taking photos of football my Senior year and it quickly became a favorite.
